2) EDUCATIONAL VIDEOS
I am very thankful that there are tons of videos available online now. And the best part is, they are free! When she was 9 months old, we let her watch some videos from YouTube. At that time, I was a work-at-home technical writer and we didn’t have any Yaya so web videos help to keep her entertained while I try to get some work done. Among the first ones she was exposed to were phonics videos. KidsTV123 is a great site of educational videos for kids. Their Phonics Songs (versions 1, 2, & 3) help teach the sounds of all the alphabet letters through music. They’re fun and light! We created a playlist of the ones we like and she viewed it about 3-4 times a week depending on how much workload I had. We didn’t think she would absorb these quickly, we just thought that between TV and educational videos, these are much better.
I saw her read when she was 2 years old! Pretty great! ^_^ <3 Well, it was not something that her parents forced or intentionally taught.. nice, nice! 😀
Glad you came by Jill! Thanks! 🙂
